Hey Guys!
So today I thought I would share with you this amazing lipstick that I bought the other week! Now it's not often that I dedicate a whole post to one lipstick, so that means that I must like it!! You might of seen my post of the Gwen Stefani Eye palette which I also love, if not you can click here. If you didn't know about this range, then you have probably been living under a rock! Basically Gwen Stefani has collaborated with Urban Decay to create a eye palette, blush palette, eyebrow set and lipsticks plus lip liners. I kept seeing everyone comment on how good the lipsticks were, and realised that I actually got a couple of samples of them with the eye palette. So I gave them a go, and soon realised I needed to get one!

My favourite one was this one which is in 'Rock Steady' and is available from the Urban Decay website for £16 here.

Firstly I really adore the packaging, which is also very similar to the eye palette. The colour scheme is black and gold, but also white on the cardboard packaging. It's a really nice design on the actual bullet, which is also not too out there either. It's also quite light to hold and is a nice size to pop into your handbag. I also like how the lid is the same size of the bullet so it makes the lipstick easier to hold when applying. The shade is written on the bottom of the lipstick, and also what the colour looks like which is super helpful! There is also a 'UD' engraved onto the actual lipstick, which I really love! Overall I love the design of the lipstick and couldn't ask for anymore!

Now onto what the lipstick is actually like, which is mostly why you are reading this post haha! So the colour is a gorgeous deep burgundy red which I also think could be described as plum. It's actually a colour that I don't really have in my collection surprisingly, so that's one of the main reason I went for it! What I love the most about this lipstick is that is looks super dark in the bullet, but when you actually apply it, it comes out a stunning colour. This means that you can also apply it more sheerly to create a pinky/plum colour, or you can build it up to what the swatch is above. It's surprisingly very creamy and moisturising on the lips, and if applied straight from the bullet leaves you with a gorgeous glossy finish as well. It stays on for absolutely ages and wears nicely on the lips. However you may want to pop it into your bag to touch up now and again, just to keep it looking fresh. It doesn't make your lips feel dry in any way, even when it starts to rub of a bit, which is definitely a massive bonus.
As I said before they also sell a lip liner in exactly the same colour, which I think is great became that doesn't often happen in a brand. Although I didn't purchase the lip liner I would definitely recommend getting it as the lipstick alone is quite hard to apply. I often find myself having to use a lip brush just to apply the lipstick around my lips so that I get a neat finish and then use the lipstick from the bullet to apply more to the lips. Although the lipstick doesn't bleed, I find that because it's such a deep and bold colour it's very easy to accidentally get it not on your lips! Saying that though I have tried applying without a brush when I have been on the go, and it hasn't been too bad you just need to take your time to apply it and definitely with a mirror!

Overall though I literally love everything about this lipstick, from the colour to the finish! I would 100% recommend it, especially if you want a deep plum colour which will stay on forever! I would also recommend the whole Gwen Stefani lipstick collection to you all as they all look amazing, and I would love to try more of them!
Let me know if you have tried anything from the collection and your opinions! I hope you are all well, and also Happy Valentine's Day!
Lots of love,
See you in my next post!
