Hey Guys!

So today's post is going to be the first of a little series I will be doing over the summer, which will be called Summer With Beth. It's going to be including loads of little summer posts all about makeup, hair, fashion and other things too!

Now as we have had a few really nice days in the UK recently, I thought it would be ideal to start this series now and also start with a post which I think is very important.

Now naturally when it's hotter and sunny outside, we wear clothes thats show more of our body and our skin. To some people this might be fine, and they will be happy to show of their body. (Which is how it should be) However a surprising amount of people are not happy about their body, and dread the summer time due to having to wear less clothes. I know some people will just cover themselves up, even though it's boiling outside and they are suffering. This is not how it should be, so I'm writing this post to hopefully help one of you out there who possibly suffers with this.

So even though I'm able to write this post now, I have never always been body confident, and I'm still not 100% there. Back just over two years ago, I felt awful about my body, I felt too big and just wasn't confident. However I wasn't unhappy, I just didn't have the confidence to wear what I wanted, and just felt big in everything. I decided I wanted to change that, so now just over two years later I have lost 3 and half stone, and let me tell you, it feels amazing!! I'm now happy with my body, and for those wondering I'm now a size 10-12 (UK). I feel like I can now wear what ever I feel like, for example playsuits and body-con dresses. Now before I lost the weight, I don't really think I was overweight, I just was a bit bigger. I personally think, size don't matter, as long as you feel good and are healthy then that is all that matters. I was the one who said I wanted to lose weight, no one else. Don't let anyone tell you that you need to. If you would like to find out a bit more of my weight loss then I made a video about it last summer which I will link here.

Before I lost the weight, I felt like I couldn't wear certain things, for example something that shows my upper arms, or my stomach. When actually it would have been absolutely fine to wear those things. You shouldn't worry about what people may think. I just wasn't confident   enough.  However now I feel good about my body, I feel like I can wear what I want, and wear it with confidence. Yes off course I have those days, where I feel fat, and feel like I can't wear that certain dress. Everyone has these days though, so please don't worry.

If you feel like you can't wear a certain item of clothing, first ask yourself why. Then decide whether you like it on, if you do then wear it. If you are for example conscious of your upper arms, then maybe start of with wearing a top/dress that slightly shows them. Then over time you will be wearing strappy tops and not care about your arms. It does take a while to completely feel confident.

Remember to remind yourself of the things that you like on your body too, don't just focus on the bits you don't like. For example, I don't mind my legs, so I quite often wear in the summer shorter dresses, or shorts. Everyones body is different, and everyones body is beautiful. Please remember this.

I hope this post has been useful, don't forget to watch the video that I made, as there are a few more things in that which I haven't mentioned. If you want as well someone who really is an inspiration to me, please go and watch Louise from a Sprinkle of Glitter.

Also I'm sorry I missed a post last week, I have been crazy busy with college haha!! I hope you are all well, and remember to love your body!
Lots of love,
See you in my next post
