Hey Guys!
So today I thought I would do a little review of the 'Pixiwoo Present Hollywood Icons' film as I bought it just before christmas and I couldn't wait to share it with you! As you may know, I absolutely love Pixiwoo and have watched them for years on YouTube. If you don't know who they are then, first of all where have you been?! Sam and Nic Chapman started up their YouTube channel doing all things makeup, which you have to check out because they are AMAZING!! They are both makeup artists who have some serious talent, like seriously though it would be a dream if they did my makeup! (Sam or Nic, if you ever need an 18 year old to do makeup up on, I will be first in line haha!!) They then went on to create the makeup brush line, 'Real Techniques' which are, and I'm not even joking THE BEST makeup brushes ever! Anyway, now you know a bit about Pixiwoo don't forget to check out their YouTube here: https://www.youtube.com/user/pixiwoo

Sam and Nic created this feature-length film with the BBC all about Hollywood Icons. I was so excited to see this, and couldn't wait to get my hands on it!
So they flew out to LA to tell the stories behind those classic Hollywood looks and the icons that created them. They met a lot of amazing people involved in those looks and icons. With the likes of Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Clara Bow and many many more. They also created a look of each icon they talked about on someone ordinary so that absolutely anyone could create those iconic looks. It's a very informative and helpful film but also a lot of fun too! It's very interesting finding out about about little makeup tricks that these very glamorous did a very long time ago which are still used in most makeup routines today.

I throughly enjoyed it, as I am a massive fan of makeup as well I loved seeing how to create the different looks and I have to say Marilyn's iconic look is my fave. I found it so interesting finding out a bit more of their lives behind all of the makeup and basically seeing how much of a hard industry is was and still is in Hollywood. When Sam and Nic went to visit the plastic surgeon, it really shook me just how brutal that world can be sometimes, seeing how people suffer to have a perfect looking face. When in fact, none of them really need it at all. Love the face, and the body you are given is what I say!!

I would definitely recommend this film, especially if you love Hollywood glamour, and are obsessed with makeup like me! If you want to find out how to create those iconic looks and also a story about each one then this is the DVD for you. You also get some extra features, like a photo gallery and extra looks. It also comes with a special edition of the blush brush, which is amazing as I love that brush and I love the special deign on it. Basically you are getting A LOT for your money! This would be absolutely perfect for a gift.

If you didn't know as well, I actually met Sam and Nic well over 2 years ago, here's a picture! (I think I've changed quite a lot since then!)

I can honestly say they are two of the nicest ladies I have ever met, so so amazing.
I think that's about it for this post, I won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil it too much! I would 100% recommend it though! It's currently on offer for £7.99 from Amazon here https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pixiwoo-Present-Hollywood-Icons-DVD/dp/B01K4RPK0S

I hope you all enjoyed and are all having a fab January so far! Let me know if you have this and your thoughts!
Lots of love,
See you in my next post!
