Hey Guys!
So today I thought I would share with you a mascara that I bought quite recently. I am a massive mascara collector, trust me I have tried A LOT!! I think I might do a couple of posts on my favourite high end and drugstore mascaras, let me know if you would like that! Anway, I was buying a few things in Superdrug and I spotted this mascara at the till and thought I might as well give it a go!
I love quite a few of the Maybelline mascaras, including the 'One by One' that they used to do and the original 'Falsies'. Therefore I had quite a few high hopes for this one!

It's called the 'Maybelline Push Up Angel Mascara' and is currently available from the Superdrug website at £7.99 here

So this mascara is meant to give you very fluttery, delicate false looking lashes. It has an 'angel-wing brush', that combs the mascara through the lashes, getting each lash which means it will make them look fluttery. The curved wing shape of the brush hugs the lash line, lifting lashes from the root for dramatic volume.

Now, I'm going to be very honest and say that I don't really agree with the above information. I absolutely hate giving negative reviews but I really just didn't get on with this mascara!!

The first thing I don't like is the fact there are only bristles on one side of the brush. This means that you have to make sure you are holding it the right way while doing both eyes, otherwise you'll just be putting a stick on your lashes! (Not a good look!) If you are like me and do your lashes with one hand instead of swapping then this will be a problem for you.
When applying this mascara, I tried to wiggle it from the bottom of my lashes to the tip so that it can give that 'fluttery' effect however it just didn't work. I can see what they were going for though, as I feel like if the bristles were slightly longer and bigger it might work. I think that the formula is quite thin as well which doesn't help. You have to build up a few coats to get a good coverage on your lashes. I didn't think it gave my lashes much length or volume at all. It also didn't last very long and started flaking a bit under my eyes.

I always like to give products a fair test, so I did wear quite a few times but I just couldn't love it. It's not the worst mascara I have ever tried though, I think this would be perfect for someone who doesn't like to wear a lot of mascara and wants lashes that have a bit of flutter to them. I think if you're in school and don't want a heavy mascara and want it to look like an everyday mascara then I would recommend. I have quite long lashes as well, so I think it may add more length to lashes that maybe are a bit shorter. My lashes were a bit more winged and lengthy on the outer corner of my eyes which is what it's meant to do, but not as much as I would expect. It's definitely not my go to mascara, I would only use it if I had to.
I would much prefer using the 'Falsies' which I love, or the 'Lash Sensational' which apparently is meant to be amazing, so think I'm going to try that one next! I hope you have enjoyed this review, let me know if you have tried this mascara and your thoughts. Just because I didn't like doesn't mean everyone will hate it! I hope you are all well, and are having a fab May so far!
Lots of love,
See you in my next post
