Hey Guys!
So today I thought I would write about the new 'must have' palette from Urban Decay as I was so excited to receive it from my mum for Christmas! I just knew that I had to write a post about it!!
It's the Urban Decay 'Heavy Metals Palette' and is currently available at the moment for £28.81 instead of £43 from the Urban Decay website, here: https://www.urbandecay.co.uk/en_GB/what-s-new/new-arrivals/heavy-metals-metallic-eyeshadow-palette/ud871.html There aren't many left though, so if you want one you better be quick!! They are also selling them in Debenhams, and Feel Unique at the moment if you're living in the UK.

The palette consists of 20 colours, and as the name would suggest they are all metallic.

The first thing I'm going to talk about is the packaging because if I'm being honest I think that's one of the best parts haha!! So it comes in a purple metallic case, and to get to the actual palette, you have to push the left side of the case and it will pop out. I personally love this idea, and I love everything about the case. However, I know this will be a little bit of a drawback for people who don't like heavy unnecessary packaging. It will though make sure it will stay secure and won't come loose if you're travelling. The actual eyeshadows are split between a mirror, which is so handy and I've used this several times when I've been away and doing a full face of makeup.

There is a nice range of colours to create SO many different looks. I also feel like a lot of people would like that there are quite a few neutral colours and also some more bright, wacky 'out there' kind of colours. I think it would be perfect for those who maybe haven't tried any Urban Decay palettes before and want a palette that has everything!

I genuinely love all of the colours in the palette, but my personal top 3 favourite colours are:
'Ground' which is an off black colour with some silver and grey glitter in. This colour is perfect for creating a smokey eye and also to help create a more dramatic look with blending out with any other colour.
'Bass' which is a gorgeous olive colour and is perfect for those who have hazel or brown eyes. It reminds me of MAC's Sumptuous Olive which I absolutely love!
'Roadie' which is a really pretty Burgundy colour which a normal blend all over the lip for a nice daytime look.

All of the colours are uniquely designed for this pallete, and they all give off that metallic finish but are also still creamy and easy to blend on the eyelid. They are all blendable, the more darker colours however just be careful as they can have some fallout. Sometimes I will do my eye makeup first, so any fallout I can wipe away easily. I haven't found this a massive problem, but I just thought I would mention it. They all have great pigment however and will last on your eyes all day. I also haven't found creasing a problem which is always great, especially if you're wearing the eye look all day.

I honestly haven't stopped wearing this palette since Christmas Day, I have loved trying out different look and finding out what colours complement each other well! I would totally recommend it, I think it's definitely my favourite Urban Decay palette alongside the Smoky palette which I think says it all!!
Let me know your thoughts if you have tried this palette!
Lots of love,
See you in my next post!
